Geographically speaking, I've just completed one quarter of the city. I've worn out a pair of shoes and worn in a pair of thongs. Having reached something of a milestone, I feel like I should say a bit more to mark the occassion. However, the more photos I take, the less words I want to use.
Knowing I've got another three quarters to go, all I can really do is keep on keeping on. But first, a rest...

Bravo, you good thing (laughing). This latest batch of shots is... ditto. You know. I'll just shut up. (But congratulations. You're doing something good.)
Thank you both for your encouraging comments. I agree with you about the earlier photos, twinki. At that beginning stage, the idea behind the project was one of quantity, not quality. I was just going to go out there and take a quick snap of every alleyway and side street in Adelaide. Then I started to experiment with my shots and began to feel better about them from a creative point of view. I then started going for quality, rather than quantity. There's still a few I cringe at since the shift but overall I'm happy with my progress.
I agree, Kent. My feelings about my earlier photographs are more related to their composition, rather than the fact that they are wider shots. I've learnt a lot since then about composing photographs. It just happens that I find more interest in taking closer shots than I do wider ones. Occasionally I'll take a wider shot and I think that I am now much more aware of what is going on in the photo than I was originally.
