Charlick Circuit

When it came time to photograph Charlick Circuit, I struggled to find anything interesting enough to inspire me. The Circuit is primarily residential, clean and new. A few ghosts from the days of the East End Markets but not much of the grotty side that I tend to seek out when I'm looking for subjects. This archway was the most interesting thing I could find.

What? the East End Markets are no more? Say it ain't so...

What is that pub across the road? The stag?

Some of the buildings from the East End Markets still remain around Charlick Circuit. Many more face East Terrace. When I say 'ghosts', I'm refering to the things from the days when the Market was actually a market. Old signage and the like. The Stag is on East Terrace - this view is looking out at the East End Exchange pub, on Grenfell Street
